Hugh Jackman has also appeared in movies like Van Helsing, Swordfish, and Kate & Leopold. His hobbies include playing the piano, golf, and windsurfing.
	Hugh Jackman was born on October 12, 1968 in Sydney, Australia. He was the youngest of five children born to English parents. Hugh's father was an accountant. When Hugh was eight, his mother left the family and moved back to the U.K. Hugh went on to get a communications degree with a journalism major from the Sydney University of Technology. After graduating, he chose to pursue an acting career. Hugh got his first big break in 1995 when he got a role on the Australian prison drama "Corelli." While on the set of Corelli, Hugh met his future wife, Debra Lee Furness. The couple married in April of 1996 and have two children, both of whom are adopted. In 2000, Hugh cemented his international fame by winning the role of Logan / Wolverine in the first X-Men movie. Hugh was actually a last minute add-on to the cast, as Dougray Scott was originally supposed to have the role but wasn't able to take it due to scheduling difficulties. In 2001, Hugh once again starred in a movie alongside Halle Berry when he took a role in the movie Swordfish. In 2004, Hugh Jackman played a professional monster-hunter in Van Helsing. The movie received very poor reviews in general, and there were rumors that Hugh Jackman would receive a razzie award for his performance. In 2006, Hugh Jackman reprised his role as Wolverine in X-Men: The Last Stand. However, this will not be the last time he plays everyone's favorite clawed mutant, as a new Wolverine Movie is slated for release in 2007.
